HOTLINE BLING

Guilty as charged- I have definitely wasted far too much money on phone cases whether splurging on Chiara Ferragni's Flirty Eye Case or Nasty Gal's Hotline Bling Case. However, I have redeemed myself by shopping Claire's amazing & affordable collection of phone cases. From bedazzled jewels to burgers & donuts, my friends asked me if my new case was made by designer Miu Miu. I was happy to answer that I purchased it at Claires for just $14.99.

Marbella Couples Retreat

This past weekend my best friend Jamie and I travelled for a couples retreat in Marbella, particularly known for their beach weather. Unfortunately however, the weather was not in our favor; so we spent our majority of they trip shivering in our maxi dresses and complaining about how cold we were. It was ironic because we nearly fit into the over 65 population staying at the Marriott hotel, drinking with the grandmothers at happy hour & even being fortunate enough to join them on a day trip. On Saturday, we went to Gibraltar, where we witnessed some of the coolest sights. At Europa Point, you were able to see Africa and Spain at the same time, along with where the Mediterranean sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Additionally, there were "apes" everywhere, some of which were cute others rather scary. Our weekend was full of drinks, laughter, and fun, and it was truly amazing to see two different places over one weekend.

Take Me Back to Firenze

For starters, we dined at Trattoria Za Za where I indulged in a delicious caprese salad. Other must haves there, the beans which come in a delicious tomato sauce & the seasoned artichoke. Don't forget to order their house rose as well.

Main course called for pasta of course. We went to a restaurant known as Osteria Santo Spirito, where I ordered a delicious spaghetti dish in homemade tomato sauce, complimented with tomatoes and garlic.

Dessert we went for gelato at Festival because who could possibly skip the best part of every meal? I recommend getting the Nutella; I would do crazy things for it right about now.

Sights to see: Massimo Leather, and that was about it for JAR.

Honeymoon in Athens

This past week I was fortunate enough to have my boyfriend travel from Miami for his spring break. We spent several days exploring my Barcelona stomping grounds, and then traveled to Athens later in the week for a short and sweet trip. After two plane rides and a short layover, we arrived in Athens, checking into the Athens Diamond Hotel. Our cab driver dropped us off in the city square giving us little to know information as to how to find our hotel nor why he couldn't take us any further. Sticking out like sore thumbs, we noticed military force, police cars, and a strike occurring right before our eyes. Although by no means violent, we were fully unaware of what we were walking into. After asking a few locals, we found our boutique hotel & never felt a sense of discomfort for the remainder of our trip. In fact, we were rather surprised how safe it really felt.
Our immediate move upon our arrival was to eat. As we both have weird obsessions with cheese, we were dying to get some feta into our systems. We found an authentic Greek restaurant located on a hill below the acropolis, where we sat down for our first Greek meal. When the waiter came to take our order, he poked fun of us for ordering everything "typical." He asked that we allowed him to bring us a few plates so we can get a real taste of Greek food. Skeptical of what was to come out, we had nearly the best meal. First, he bought out Tzatziki dip complimented by fresh pita. Then, we indulged in these Zucchini Pancakes stuffed with Feta Cheese. Our meal was concluded with a typical dish of lamb and potatoes. We enjoyed our meal so much that on our last day in Greece we returned again. Aside from our delicious meals, we had the most incredible time witnessing history first hand, but most importantly, being fortunate enough to experience this together.

Sites to See: Panathenaic Olympic Stadium, Acropolis, Theatre of Dionysus, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Roman Agora, Ancient Agors, Athens Flea Market, Plaka, Mount Lycabettus, The Parliament

I love you JUSTY!

Italy for a Hot Sec

On just about everyone's guide, you will find the notorious Italian restaurant known as Da Greco. Being that one huge plate of pasta is simply not enough, the restaurant will bring you small taste testers of your friends pastas as well. Top 3 on my list: White Truffle Tortellini, Lasagna, & Mushroom Parmesan Ravioli. You cannot go wrong dining Italian style one night in Barce.
Mozzarella, Tomato, Avocado for an appetizer is a must.
My absolute favorite mushroom, parmesan ravioli.

Study Daze

Just as I was beginning to feel the overwhelming midterm stress, I headed to CDLC for an afternoon of cocktails on our so-called "Study Day." My friends and I lounged at this spot located by the beach drinking pitchers of sangria, strawberry mojitos, & good vibes. Thank you CEA, ill take the study daze as often as possible.
